Rashism (from "Russia" or "Rasha" + "fascism") or Russian fascism, is a term used by scientists, politicians and publicists to denote the political ideology and social practice of the Russian regime of the end of XX - beginning of XXI century, which is based on the ideas of the "special civilizational mission" of the Russians, "the seniority of the fraternal people", intolerance to elements of the culture of other nations; on totalitarianism and imperialism of the Soviet type, the use of Russian Orthodoxy as a moral doctrine, on geopolitical instruments of influence, primarily energy carriers for European countries, military force in relation to countries included, as the Russian Federation considers, in its sphere of influence.
On April 14, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine recognized the Russian Federation as a terrorist state with a neo-Nazi totalitarian regime and banned its propaganda and propaganda of the Russian act of aggression against Ukraine. Rashism is a form of Nazism, fascism and a synonym for the term "Russian Nazism".
The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Humanitarian and Information Policy Issues supports the initiative of Ukrainian scientists, journalists, political scientists and civil society at large to popularize and recognize the term "rashism" at the national and international level.
