For people who lost their homes due to hostilities, 11 modular towns for temporary living have already been opened

Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Chernyshov announced this at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine - Ukrinform.

"We are currently implementing (creation projects - ed.) 20 towns of modular housing in the de-occupied regions. 11 such towns have already been opened," said Chernyshov.

He noted that the modular towns have proven themselves well as an opportunity to resettle people for the period of reconstruction of housing damaged by hostilities.

The minister also noted that 50,000 objects, mostly housing stock, were destroyed or damaged in the de-occupied territories in four regions.

As reported, the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories plans to build 25 modular towns for internally displaced persons within the next four months.  The preparation of projects for the construction of 15 more such towns is being completed.
